The Emotiva is a Power amp, so you would also need a pre-amp/controller (or the Pioneer and bypass it's power amp section). That said, the Pioneer will work fine with the Klipsch speakers. The 150 watt rating for the RB-81 is power handling, not how much it takes to power them. Also with the high sensitivity (97dB) you don't need a lot of power to get loud sound. Finally, keep in mind that to increase loudness by 3 dB (barely noticeable) you have to double the power.
