How to connect a Power amplifier to a Denon AVR-8308 CI receiver? Help!?

I own a Denon AVR-8308 CI receiver and a Velodyne 1250 power amplifier I can’t seem to figure out how to make them both compatible? The amp has RCA’S jacks.

I tried the SW PRE INPUT and PRE OUTPUT. Nothing?

I tried the PRE OUT Zone 2 and Zone 3 turned them both ON than adjusted the volume (DB) Nothing?

On my old SONY receiver I plugged the RCA’s into “AUDIO OUT “And I had no problems. I know the Denon is complex

Am I doing something wrong or missing a step? What are the chances something is wrong with the Denon receiver?
Thank you,

surely you plug the RCA into an "out" from the receiver, into an "in" on the amplifier. You’ve been a bit ambiguous as to the options behind the particular items, but in general the power amp should be the last element connected before the speakers get the signal.

  2. the zone two should work but if you can not figure it out just connect to the record out on the tape or VCR inputs that will work also. In the zone 2 and 3 you have to turn the internal amps off and the varible volume to non variable. Hope that helps
