What is the best, hardest hitting sub-woofer for your money?
I’m looking for the loudest, best sounding sub-woofer for my money. I also need some tweeters, 2-ways, and an amplifier. I haven’t decided on whether I’m looking to run 8’s, 12’s or 15’s yet so recommmendations would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help or suggestions!
Well it truly depends on how much money you are looking to spend and the style of vehicle that you are putting the system in. I would recommend Alpine, its a great brand and fairly cost effective.
My old system thumped and sounded great…but I simply started with:
(1) Apline TypeR 15" and Alpine PDX-F6 Amp
I progressed into a full component set of TypeR 6’s in the front and 6×9s in the back. With a generic capacitor to help keep the power stable.
If you have a good headunit that can control the mids and highs and adjust your amp you will not need to get tweeters or components… you can get away with just an amp and sub combo.
Im a fan of the Alpine type r and the 12inch kicker comps knock hard. Any zx series amplifier from kicker is a nice choice

I depends how much watts you want your system, how much room you have in you car or truck, how much money you want to spend. If you tell me that info i’ll help you out. For a sick loud system with all new speakers and everything will cost $1000 at the least.

best subs would have to be digital design. competition rated. ive heard the cheapest digital designs and they hit like kicker comp 15s. ive also heard some that were a few levels up from there lowest and that was ridiculous for 12s. compared to old school kicker 18s
