Rotary Subwoofer - Worlds Lowest Freq Subwoofer
capable of generating greater than 120dB SPL of frequences from 20Hz down to less than 1Hz!!! Read more at http://www.eminent-tech.com/main.html. This video is the first time this invention has been shown. You won’t be able to hear the low stuff on your PC speakers, they won’t go below 50-100Hz for sure! The fan self-noise is filtered out in the production enclosure. See http://tinyurl.com/54srbc for how University of Hawaii recreated earthquakes with the TRW!

That do not implies …
That do not implies that the frequence of the movement of the subwoofer is the same than the frequence of the sound….
…..
Sound …
…..
Sound requires movement
The subwoofer has to move, to displace the air, that makes the sound…
Go back to school.
0 to 20 Hz is the …
0 to 20 Hz is the frequence of the sound, not of the subwoofer mouvement…

Hear below 20Hz? No …
Hear below 20Hz? No, unless you’re not like other humans. Feel it? Yes, most definitely. As for the chopper approaching, you are hearing the overtones only, if the fundamental is below 20Hz. Just like the lowest notes on a pipe organ, we may think we’re hearing the fundamental on the lowest notes (longest pipes) but we are only hearing the overtones AND our brain will manufacture the fundamental… so we may think we can hear it, but we can’t.
32″, called …
32″, called thunderdome… IIRC the enclosure required was about the size of a full size pickup bed. never seen it myself except in pictures but at the time they made it IASCA software had the space shuttle liftoff track and this was the only thing which would show measurable response from the beginning at its 5hz frequency. Though the PG cyclone I have heard and it sounded awesome but in a real system you’d need 10″ mids with it.
its always movin, …
its always movin, what aRE YOU TALKING ABOUT
0 Hz is no movement …
0 Hz is no movement.
<1Hz would be … less than on full movement per second. You could see it move
Good point.
Good point.
no your correct and …
no your correct and we cannot hear above 20,000 hz either
You can hear it, …
You can hear it, its just that you need big ammount of pressure level (SPL) to notice it and thats exactly the marvel this thing delivers.
0Hz is what it can do, DC or constant airflow no matter how we call it. The thing is that from 0 to around 5hz we humans are practically deaf but from that freq we hear enough to notice a chopper is approaching for example. A cone driver cant put enough pressure at that freq, a rotary sub can.
didn’t clarion make …
didn’t clarion make a 30″ or 32″… something like that.
your right, you …
your right, you probably will only feel this… but for a home theater, sometimes to really give you that “experiance” its not about “hearing” the bass as it is to feel it. i think it would be kinda sweet to have something thike that for a home theater set up.
1. It doesn’t make …
1. It doesn’t make sense to go 0 Hz because Hz is the number of cycles per second. Going 0 Hz means you’re going 0 cycles a second.
2. The human ear really can’t hear anything below 20 Hz. You can probably only feel this.
This is some general knowledge about frequencies. I don’t know if they apply to speakers like this so please forgive me if I’m wrong.

0 Hz is DC
0 Hz is DC
Exactly.
Exactly.
You want to feel a …
You want to feel a real rotary subwoofer, stand in front of 4 spinning C-130 props and you hear “the growl” knock the wind out of you. Lowest bass I ever felt.
First of all, this …
First of all, this whole thing is a big joke. Period.
Second, there is no such thing as 0 hz!
Whoever made this video (and this “product”) is literally the biggest idiot in the world.
I didn’t hear …
I didn’t hear anything until i push my headphone close to my ears and i heard its really low bass and then it goes down to be just a vibrating sound.
I’m not sure if it was that 20Hz-1Hz.
