How much does a Sub woofer wiring kit cost? the things needed to hook up a sub/amp into a car.?

How much does a Sub woofer wiring kit cost? I want to hook up this sub and amp that I got for free into my car, Thanks.

The answer to that question depends on the amp and subs. The more powerful the amp, the heavier gauge wire you need to power it. If the amp is 300 watts or under, you can get away with an 8 gauge wiring kit for under $100. Any more then that, you should probably upgrade to a 4 gauge wiring kit whch will run you a bit more money ($150 - $200) but will be a better configuration. If the amp is more then 300 watts, you should add a capacitor so it doesn’t kill your battery. A .5 farad cap can run you from $50 - $120

That is all right info. Typically people with just install a 4guage wiring kit. A capacitor will only stabilize current that is being pulled and in no way makes up for an underpowered alternator. The rule of caps is 1 farad/1000 watts.
