After I upgraded to windows 7 my sub woofer did not work anymore. I am on a hp pavilion dv6-1230 us?

After I upgraded to windows 7 my sub woofer did not work anymore. I am on a hp pavilion dv6-1230 us. I have upgraded the drivers and that still didn’t work. Is there a possibility that I blew them? How could I repair them myself without sending it into hp? Thanks

if not there is a good chance you need to install the audio drivers for your sound card and or switch it to the right amount of channels. Also, if its a 5.1 speaker system does your center speaker work. If it doesnt this is another sign you need the drivers.
