Take the time to go to an audio store with about 5 of your favorite cd's, (I burned about 4 cd's and took them with me), and ask to listen to your cd's with the same head unit and same amp, with different speakers, of course. You might surprise yourself that sometimes the most expensive speakers won't sound the best to YOUR ears. Also when you do listen to your music, take a good few minutes to close your eyes to each set of speakers, this will eliminate your sense of sight and let your ears focus on the music. I'm running an Eclipse head unit in my car, with Infinity Kappa series components in the front, 6x9's in the rear, and an Infinity Kappa Perfect 10" sub in the back. Two MTX 4002 amps power the system. The combination of the speakers with the Eclipse head reproduces sound that is crystalline to my ears. but once again, may not be to yours!<br><b>References : </b><br> It’s really all up to what your ears like and don’t like. I had 4, 8 inch JL Audio WO's. They are pretty cheap and provide great sound. They would work out great for listening to Rock. They reset very quickly being a small speaker in a small enclosure, and they also provide pretty good low frequency bass as well.<br><b>References : </b><br> I listen to a lot of different of styles of music and was very pleased with my last stero system I put together.
