The reason why that motherboard is so expensive is because of the Crossfire capability, for people who want to run 2 ATI cards for games with high-end graphics. Why not just save the money and get a cheaper single-graphics-slot motherboard? For games like C&C3 or Spore, grab a P43-chipset motherboard (which has a single PCIe 16x slot) and put any midrange nVidia or ATI card on it. Whatever you do, don't buy an ATI Crossfire motherboard and put an nVidia card on it.
