Match the clold cranking amps to get the proper battery. Pulse cranking amps are what the battery will put out in a short burst. Cranking amps are what the battery will do on an every occassion basis. Cold cranking amps are just what they say, what the battery will put out when it is cold ( under 40 degrees ). Always match cold cranking amps. More amperage won’t hurt anything, less will just leave you stranded somewhere.
