How many amps are needed to power a car receiver and two 6" x 9" speakers?

I want to turn my old car stereo receiver and speakers into a home stereo. I know I need a converter, but how many amps should my converter be if all I am powering is the 50w receiver and two 6” x 9" speakers?

Standard car stereo deck needs only about 15 amps to operate, so find a good 20amp power rectifier and that should work fine.

By the way, for the price you’re going to pay for a rectifier, you can buy a half decent JVC or Sharp boombox that will sound significantly better.
