Hey Guys, i was wondering if anyone can help me install subs and amps in my car?
I got a 1998 ford escort from my friend who moved back to Europe. The car has a 6 disk cd system in the trunk so it doesn’t really have a pull out system in the front. I was wondering if there was any way i could install some bass subs and amps in that car?? Please help:)
Yes you can keep your factory radio if you’d like. The way to do it is go to your local car audio shop and purchase an in-line converter or it may be called a hi/low impedence adapter. What this does is it hooks up to your factory speaker wires and converts them into an RCA output. Basically it gives you a place to hook the rcas up to. Then you will need an amp kit, and choosing what gage amp kit you will need will depend on what size amplifier you get. You will also need to find a remote wire for your amp to turn on as well. All your speaker wires and your remote wire for your radio is in the trunk by the way or it should be. That is where you will hook up the converter as well.
only if the head unit has rca out puts if not youll need a head unit that does
