Car battery amps measurement for current leak?

Can I get step by step instructions on how to connect my amp meter to check for a current leak. I will need to pull out one fuse at a time to see if the current drops, but I am not sure of how to connect the amp meter. Do I remove the + cable but keep the - cable on the battery?

You can remove either the positive or the negative and keep the other one hooked up. You put your meter in line with the removed cable……….remove one cable end from the battery and then hook one meter lead up the the disconnected battery post and the other meter lead to the disconnected cable end. Have your meter on the highest amp setting so you dont blow the fuse inside your meter. You will need to wait a few min till the computers "sleep", some vehicles will have an excess draw for the first few min until the Computers shut down. also make sure you take out the light bulb for the hood if it has one and to keep the door shut while you are looking for the draw Good luck!
