Kicker Solo Baric L7’s Flexin car!

These are (2) 15″ 2006 Kicker Solo Baric L7’s. As you can see they are flexing the entire car with ease. Im using a tiny sealed box. The are running off a Lanzar MXA 282 amp and a 1.2 farad capacitor, it says 2000 watts RMS and 4000watts max. But, today I found out the amp is really puttin out no more than 1000 watts (according the the people at Untimate Audio). The speakers are susposedly running at half there RMS and this is what they do imagine what they would be like at full power in a proper size box!
May 28th 07″—- My 15’s cracked my trunk where the spoiler connects to the car. Guess I shouldve bought dynamat. O well. I sold these two subs. Im downgrading to two 12 solo baric l5’s and im dynamating my trunk. New videos will come in a few weeks.

first thing is first. PORTED box will give you at least 2-3 db, not to mention that amp is junk. AUDIO PIPE just put out there new amp 3000RMS at 1 ohm! that will push them kickers

ey homes….let me give u some tips… 2get 2x the thump.
1.Either get dual layered speaker box (covered) or turn that box around. (makes more pressure. More pressure = bigger boom)
2. If u have the exhaust pressure tubes on, place them on the sides of the box (makes the resistance from the cars interior apply to the sound and makes box thump and your car bounce)
3. Im not chompin on ur system, but consider gettin a cleaner output radio.

Hey man just a suggestion,
I don’t know what kind of amp or subs you have, but you might want to look into subs or amps that can produce the right amount of Decibels that you’re looking for. But, you might already have a good setup, and I might just be running my mouth, ha.

no doubt imagine how loud this guys subs would be when their the other way , my buddy had the same sub in his car and my other friend had the older kicker silver 15″ solox in his s-10 and the woofer in my buddys car could viberate the mirror in my car from his next to me !

this is very true! i had mine pointing into the trunk when i got it…i thought it’d look better to have it pointing into the cabin…bass dropped like 50%…no joke!!! but my trunk lid doesn’t rattle as much with it pointing into the cabin

Either can sound good but ported will have a 3dB advantage in most cases. It all depends on design and what you have the port tuned at.
I like sealed subs for the better transient response but sometimes I want ported so my beats can BUMP!

Dude turn ur subs todwards the trunk ! it will be 10 times louder and sound and flex better trust me and try it

ported has port holes for the air pressure from the sub to go there for quite a bit more bass but it doesnt sound as clean as a sealed box will so your probaly looking at going ported

true, i hated sealed boxes. when i got my bostons (which were in a sealed box) i put them in a slot ported box and , they sound so much better as of playing Lower, Louder etc.
