  3. Yea it’s better to …
Yea it’s better to remove the wire from the deck to the speaker if you plan on running an amp to the speakers

  4. Systems pushing …
Systems pushing 1700 watts rms, starts to fall into the competition class in that case no a cap will not help much. but for the average bass head that runs out and sees a label that says 1200W not knowing that its peak will save thier alternator by installing a capacitor

  5. So when I install …
So when I install the amp, I should just cut the old speaker cable going from the speaker to the head unit itself? I just use the RCA connections from the head unit to the amp, then the amp directly to the speakers?

    No actually a …
No actually a capacitor would help very little in a high power system. Systems over 1000 watts usually will be better off with a good battery. Systems over 1700 wrms or so should have an High output alternator, BIG 3 done and a couple batteries.

  7. You gotta remove …
You gotta remove the old wire. if your talking about running the speaker wire from the amp to the subwoofer thier should be no need for soldering the amp only requires clamp connectors on the end of the wire and speakers are normally set for you to push up the speaker clip, insert the speaker wire and let go of the clip or for some speakers… screw off the cap insert the wire and tighten it… thier should be no need for soldering

  8. That is what you …
That is what you call a capacitor it saves your alternator in terms of pulling too much current… really not necessary for small amps with low watts rating but for higher class amps that push more watts… it’s required to have a capacitor to save your charging system… a capacitor basically cuts the current draw from your battery to a minimum
