Get your boyfriend what he wants! He'll be happier. The Boss D800.2, 2 channel amplifier puts outs 260 watts RMS x 2 at 4ohms. That's plenty enough power to get a pair of decent subwoofers BoOmInG! If he does have two subwoofers, you can bridge the amplifier and get even more power out of it (maybe 600 watts RMS). The Boss D800.2 is a really nice line of cheap car amplifiers and it looks cool. It comes with a remote subwoofer level control and has a 0 to +18dB variable bass boost which is good too.

i would suggest hifonics or kicker, they are very good and cheap,, out of these 3 i would wonder what kind of speakers you have, i have had boss amps and liked them but never did they put out the power they say they do.. lanzar has always sounded good, but they are both cheaper products, i would use power needs and price tags as deciding factors. more power per dollar is what every1 wants
References :
Those are 3 pretty low end amps. I owned the old Vibe230 which is similar to the 236 and 232, but you have to understand the "1000 WATT" peak power ratings are completely meaningless, as is the Boss's 1600w.

The RMS power rating for both Lanzars (from the manual) is 75w x 2 or 200w bridged, and having a 20A fuse those numbers are probably about right.

The Boss is rated at 260w x 2 (which is a blatant lie), but it has a 30A fuse so I would expect it to be maybe 30% more powerful than the Lanzars. Realistically around 100x2 and 300w bridged.

If they're around the same price I guess the Boss is the best choice.

If you'll just specify a price range maybe you can get some suggestions for the best 2 ch you can afford.
References :
If he's going to go with these three options... get the Lanzar vibe236. Boss sucks balls, Lanzar isn't all that great, but will do the job. I use to have a Lanzar Vibe about 4 years back, and I push it to it's max almost everyday for 2 years before it finally went out. There better amps out there but if he wants this one go with Lanzar Vibe it will last for awhile if you install it correctly.
