Go to www.ddaudio.com
and click on products then amplifiers then scroll to where it says amp output testing , this is a step by step instruction on how to test amplifiers , and at the bottom it has a power calculator for you to use.
References :
You can't. Music is dynamic. There are a multitude of frequencies at any given time and they change constantly. Your amp might only be putting out a few watts per channel and then suddenly a few hundred watts because of a bass note.

Multimeters can measure amps and volts, which multiplied can tell you watts, but they can't measure watts directly. Your amp draw will vary anyway, and input is usually double output (except on class D amps).
References :
12 years exp.

go to a chain(radio shack) or something similar and get yourself a $10-20 "fluke" meter. make sure it measures wattage and follow the directions in the box. make it pay for itself by charging others to "map" their speakers by measuring theirs.
