How to connect Bose Wave to external speakers with a speaker cable?

I would like to connect my Bose Wave Music System to external speakers, with a speaker cable. The Bose Wave has a headphone connector, and no rca inputs, or speaker cable ports. Is there any way to get it connected to my external speakers, through a speaker cable, WITHOUT BUYING A RECEIVER?

You could go to Radio Shack and see if you could find some type of splitter that would plug into the headphone jack that had 2 leads on. I know this doesn't make a lot of sence but what I'm trying to say is the one end would puug into where you would plug in the headphones and that the other end would have 2 wires that you could splice your speaker wire to.

How do I tune my car subwoofer amps so one amp performs at a lower frequency than the other?

I have four twelves but two are at a higher watts level and both 2 ohm.I notice during some songs I don’t hear certain levels of bass.

Unless you have an oscilloscope and a lot of other electronics equipment and are really good at using them, you are not going to get good bass response by mixing subs. When you mix subs you are going to have strange frequency responses. That is why it is not recommended.

What you are hearing (or not hearing) is most likely cancellation. This is due to your two subs cancelling out your other two subs. This makes the lack of bass at some frequencies that you are hearing.

Your best option is to get rid of two subs and just run two of the same subs. That will give you the best sound quality and best overall SPL.

Good Luck!!!

I have a Velodyne SPL 10" powered subwoofer 750watt rms.It's 6 years old and doesn't work.?

I left the remote power switch on because the coax cord is long. It took to long to get a signal to turn on. Now it just makes a clicking noise and nothing. Is it something simple? I'm in St. Pete,FL. It cost me $1000 and want to fix it. What do you think it would cost to find out the problem and where to take it?

The best thing to do now is get some answers by troubleshooting. Remove any extra cable that is not permanently connected to the speaker, and try again. Then take your speaker to a friend's house and try it on his equipment. That should narrow it down.

It is likely the internal amp, or the original cable. It is often possible to open a unit up and remove and replace even a molded cable.

But first try the other, then come back and add details to your question and we'll go from there.

How do i connect my car subwoofer to my Stereo (TV type -not car) amplifier.?

The amplifier is an older type amp the brand is AWA and ive got the car subwoofer cords but i wanna make it so that my sub runs through the amplifier and my amplifier is powered by my Hi-Fi system. I know it can be done because my mate has done it with his with an old amp but he can't remember how he did it.

You need to wire up each sub-woofer as an 8ohm load, in stereo to your amp. Use a Y adapter to wire your sub woofer output on your system, because bass isn't played in stereo. Most single coil sub-woofers are sold as 8 ohms, meant to be bridged.

Keep the woofers far away from your TV, because the strong magnets mess up the picture.

How many Amps & Speakers should I put in my trunk and inside the car and how big too?

My Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 has stock speakers.Im wanting to put speakers and amps in the trunk and inside the car too but i dont know how many and how big of speakers and amps i should put in the car.

oh man cool, I'd go with like 5 - 1000 watt amps, and 10 -12"JBL speakers along with a couple of Voice of the Theater speaker columns.. that should really rock.

Is there any screen capture program which can capture video with the sound coming from the loudspeakers?

Is there any screen capture program which can capture video (from the computer's screen) with the sound coming from the loudspeakers, not the sound recorded by the microphone. I tried Snagit and Hypercam but i didn't find the option to configure it. So the latter programs always captured the sound recorded by the microphone.

WM Capture is the software you want. it can capture yr pc screen with the sounds coming from yr loud speaker.
Go to: (http://www.wmrecorder.com/wm_capture.php) for more info.

What tools does a beginner need in car audio?

Hello,
If someone was just out of highschool and wanted to get into car audio as an occupation, what would be"main" the tools you would recommend at this early stage?

Thanks Yahooers!

-A digital multimeter is the most important tool you will own.
-A crimping tool like this one: http://ak.buy.com/db_assets/large_images/536/90140536.jpg
-Soldering tools
-Wire strippers that can strip insulation in the middle of a wire, like these: http://images.marketplaceadvisor.channeladvisor.com/hi/55/55124/gbstripcrimp_a.jpg
-A cordless driver/drill, small and lightweight. The new lithium-ion drills are expensive but worthwhile.
-A drill bit set, including step drill bits like these: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51KHK8YG37L._SL500_AA280_.jpg
-Diagonal cutters: http://www.knipex.com/fileadmin/site/knipex/Bilder/Produktfotos/catalog/74072004.jpg
-Hook and pick sets, both large and mini: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/418EXXoNuYL._SS500_.jpg
-A file set
-Aviation snips: http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/yhst-15470445735592_2009_16935417
-A radio removal tool set: http://www.autotoys.com/pics/AST7807.jpg
-Panel removal tools: http://us.st12.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/rodi_2012_94296573
-A small blowtorch

In addition, you'll need a basic mechanic's tool set which includes a full set of wrenches and sockets (both SAE and metric sizes), screwdrivers, torx drivers, hex drivers, and files.

Installers who do lots of fabrication or fiberglass work will need tools for those specialties. Installers who build boxes will need woodworking tools like routers, jig saws and table saws.

Here's another list of installer tools you can take a look at: http://www.installer.com/tech/tools.html

Good luck!

Does it take a lot of electricity to keep my sub woofer on?

i have a 5 speaker set home theater system and i don't have a remote for my sub woofer. Does it take a lot of electricity to just leave it on when there is no sound?

Probably not a lot of electricity, and it may have an auto off feature.

I don't think it shortens the life - it may actually lengthen the life because with some equipment, the worst stress comes from switching it off and on. My recording engineer friend says they never turn off their equipment, and they feel that this is the way to keep it from needing repairs…
