The Genesis Device was built to demonstrate the massive output capability of Acoupower's 18" transducers for Pro-Audio Applications. It is a 45.5" wide, 39" tall, and 31" deep box comprised of two identical dual volume, triple resonant chambers of our own design. This box is similar in size to several medium size club boxes currently on the market. Using Acoupower drivers, this box provides greater output, smoother response, and significantly lower frequency extension compared to other boxes of the same size. See Fig 1 below.

Figure 1 shows the actual half space (parking lot) response of the Genesis device. The bottom curve is the actual SPL with just 0.5W per driver (one watt total). The curve on the top is the Maximum Sustainable Continuous RMS SPL capability of this box. The Peak capability is significantly higher. Please note the following. The data is real and unsmoothed, there is NO manipulation of the data at all. WYSIWYG. These results are for a half space environment. Up against a back wall, you will get +6dB. In a corner, you will get +12dB, for a staggering 150dB sustainable dB at 40Hz. Please also note the response shape - the response rolls off gradually to below 25Hz. Given the typical room transfer function, this box will be -3dB at approximately 25Hz. Exhaustive in room measurements and listening tests by critical listeners has confirmed the information. Also keep in mind this is a very low distortion box. Total Harmonic Distortion at full power (4kW) never exceeds 10%, compared to 100% to 200% for horn load boxes when hit with very low frequency information. First impressions of this box can be summed up by one of our listeners "It's like having a State of the Art audiophile subwoofer, only with a volume knob that just keeps turning around and around until you just can't handle the output".
